Irish Paper Dolls, March 1942

The Children's Friend  was the official Primary children's monthly magazine of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints from 1907 to 1970, when it was replaced by the Friend.  The Primary Association is responsible for teaching children between 18 months old and 12 years old.  Copies of issues beginning in 1940 are available for reading and copying in the open stacks on the main floor of the LDS Church History Library.

As a child, I loved the paper dolls printed almost every month.  This blog will be dedicated to making those old paper dolls available.

The earliest true paper dolls (with clothes to change) were an Irish boy and girl from March, 1942.
